The news about it had spread like wildfire across all forms of media, and Giblo Group was mentioned in every title.
The press had confused the public by collectively referring to Solara's company as "Giblo Group", the netizens assumed everything the Giblo family owned was involved, including Divine Corporation which belonged to Zayn.
Zayn furrowed his brows when he saw those articles being rapidly spread all over the internet. Oh my… one problem after another! I knew my battle with Daemon had begun the day I wrongly accused him of poisoning Venus, and now he's officially made his move! Who says the Lierger family sucks at corporate warfare? This act alone makes it obvious that Daemon is no pushover! Solara is a member of the Giblo family and could represent the Giblo Group. That's why I held back against her instead of going all out. Knowing this, Daemon gathered evidence on Solara's crimes and post them all online to destroy the company's reputation!
Benard frowned. "Daemon sure is a cunning one… Solara had clearly left the family and started her very own company long ago, but he just had to link her with Giblo Group…"
"Well, she does own some of Giblo Group's shares. It isn't much, but it's enough to qualify her as a shareholder, so I can't sue the media companies for using our company name anyway. This is what's clever about Daemon's strategy, " Zayn said calmly.
"What do we do now? All of Giblo Group will be affected if Solara can't clean up this mess!" Benard asked with a frown.
"She wouldn't do so even if she could. Her goal was to get me involved so I'd fix it for her. Because we're both Giblos, we either survive this together or go down together!" Zayn explained with a sarcastic
sneer.
Benard clenched his teeth in anger. "How despicable! Do you think she might have released the information online as a means of making a comeback?"
"No. Her company has been in shambles long ago, and Broid Group isn't doing well either. There's no way she could possibly pay that many media companies to do her bidding, so this is obviously Daemon's doing!" Zayn said with certainty.
Benard nodded. "I suppose that's true… She's about to lose all of her properties, so she's desperately trying to fight for your inheritance rights."
"Things are going to get messy if she finds out that Grandpa has already written his will."
Zayn's phone rang right as he was about to give Thompson a call, and he answered the phone immediately, "Hello, Mr. Thompson."
"I've seen the news about Solara online, but I'm keeping them hidden from Mr. Jombo for now. After what he's been through today, I don't want to agitate him any further. There's no way he'd be able to take it, " Thompson said in a low voice.
"Yeah, let's not tell him for now. Make sure to keep a tight lid on his will, or that woman will really go nuts if she finds out!" Zayn reminded him sternly.
"I know. The only people who know about it are you, me, Carla, Selena, and Layon. Since Layon has been arrested, I don't think he'll be able to get the word out."
"I'll send someone to make the arrangements at the police station. Keep a close eye on Grandpa for me."
"I will, don't worry."
Zayn then had Benard call up their contacts at the police station and have them watch over Layon to prevent him from talking.
Having taken care of everything, Zayn glanced at the nearby Northridge villa and thought to himself.
Carla should be home by now, so she probably knows about this too… I wonder what her stance is regarding Daemon exposing Solara and dragging Giblo Group down with her… Well, even if she supports him, her actions would be perfectly justified. Our family owes her way too much, after all. When will this battle finally end?
