Carla was extremely flurried. At this moment, Rogan walked up to her and reported, "We've received news from Freda that Shelley has escaped."
"What?" Carla's face turned somber. "No one managed to catch her?"
"According to Freda, Shelley had some outside help. It was probably Solara's men who assisted her." Rogan let out a frown before she continued, "Benard and Freda are going after her as we speak."
"This is preposterous!" Livid, Carla kicked the table over.
"The Giblo family is so incompetent. They should've let Mr. Lierger take care of this. What are they going to do now that Shelley has escaped?" Rogan was furious.
"We'll talk about this later. Let's meet up with Diane first. We need to locate Dr. Feroma as soon as possible and give his whereabouts to Bugara."
Rogan nodded and replied, "I've already informed Diane. You should go get changed. I'll get the car ready."
"Okay."
Just as Carla was about to head out, Randy walked up to her with a box in hand. "Mommy, I have something to tell you. It'll only take five minutes."
"Me too, " uttered Josh, with Little Dori behind his back.
"Okay, come here."
Carla gave them a loving smile.
The two of them quickly sat down on the sofa.
Randy opened his box and took out multiple credit cards as well as a few equity documents.
"Mommy, this card here contains all the earnings from the software that I've developed a few years back. Daddy was the one who gave me the money. There's a total of a hundred and thirty million on the card.
This card here contains all the allowance given to Josh, Venus, and me. There's about thirty million on the card.
This card over here contains all our prize money. That includes Josh's winnings from his martial arts competitions, Venus's winnings from her drawing competitions, as well as my winnings from invention competitions. There's about a million on this card.
These equity documents here were gifted to us from Great-grandpa on our birthday. The assets that we got were the Fairytale Land, Apple Kindergarten, and the elementary school that we're currently studying at.
These are all our properties. You can have them all, Mommy! I've already gotten Venus's permission too."
"What? What are you…"
Carla was stupefied in place.
Randy placed all the credit cards and documents in Carla's hands.
He then uttered in a serious tone, "We know you've sacrificed a lot for us. Not just you, Mrs. Borah also did her best to take care of us. She even got herself sick because of that. We are very grateful to the two of you.
"Don't worry, Mommy. You don't have to be scared of Daddy, Uncle Dan, or even Great-grandpa anymore. With this money here, we don't have to rely on anyone else. No one will be able to threaten us from now on.
"We'll be able to live happily together as a family of six, including Dori of course.
"Mommy, we can return to the countryside and live with Uncle Srudem. Or, we can even find a place where no one recognizes us and start our new lives there.
"Anyhow, we'll be the ones taking care of you from now on. You don't have to work so hard anymore, Mommy. You're free to do whatever you want!"
Josh nodded profusely. "Yeah. Don't be afraid, Mommy. We won't let anyone hurt you. Here, take our possessions…"
Josh scooched over to Randy's ear and murmured, "Randy, are we still short on money? I can sell my toys and figurines if need be."
"We have enough. Don't worry. Not to mention, I'll still be earning with my software. I'll be able to earn at least ten million a year.
With that said, you don't have to depend on others anymore, Mommy. If you're worried about our safety, we'll just hire a bodyguard, since we have the money to do so…"
