When Gregory heard this, he stood paused for a moment.

Just then, Kayla ran out crying.

"Father!", she yelled running out the back door, chased by 2 guards.

Just about to fall when out of the window came in thick vines to catch her.

"Kayla!", Gregory ran towards her, while Miguel who also heard the scream, just tilted his head towards her.

"What happened?", Gregory asked now standing in front of her.

"Luca!", she cried.

"He's such a.....", she cried.

"How could he?!", she further cried.

Gregory could understand how Luca felt and so he knelt down and hugged her, patting her hair and back.

"But he shouldn't have gone this far...", Gregory said looking at the guards standing in front of the back door.

"He's.... He's....", she spoke and broke down in tears.

"Let's go home princess", Gregory comforted as he pulled her up with the help of some vines.

"Miguel!", He called when they had walked some distance to the door.

"My home is still open, if you want....", he said and continued walking away.

When it was night, Miguel got up and walked into his father's court where his father stood looking out the window.

"Father!", he called.

"Please leave...", Palmer said without turning back.

"Father please don't do this. You know I am innocent..", Miguel added.

"Please leave... never forget that your father has failed you!", he added still looking out the window.

"No father! You did your best..... This was beyond you...", Miguel added walking closer.

At this point Palmer lost it. In anger, he pushed down the window from its frame.

"Beyond me!", He yelled.

"Is anything supposed to be beyond a man in his Kingdom?!", He roared.

"Not even anybody's life..... My own son!", He wept.

The tears which he had long been holding finally began to pour.

Miguel couldn't see this though, because Palmer still remained by the window which he had broken.

"Please leave Miguel! Let my failure and shame overwhelm me", he further spoke.

"Don't say that My Lord. My father is not a failure!", Miguel added.

"That's enough Miguel!", Palmer roared.

"May I at least get your blessings...", Miguel said now kneeling on the red royal carpet.

"Guards!", Palmer called.

"Yes my lord!", Two guards and Mercury came over immediately.

"Take him away! Don't let him come near me ever again!", Palmer yelled still facing the window.

With that said, the two guards immediately hijacked Miguel; each on both sides.

While Mercury stood there looking at Palmer, fully understanding what was running through his mind.

"No! Father! I just wanted to see your face one more time before I die!!", Miguel yelled as he was pulled away.

He knew deep in his heart that his father's blessings will do him no good since he was going to die. But that was the only reason he could come up with to see his father one last time. But his father never gave him the chance, for he feared that being with him would push him to bend the rules Quaila which his ancestors have been upholding for so many years.

Miguel could easily take down the two guards but his strength only sufficed while he was with his father.

He pushed them down and ran towards him but was stopped by a palm on his chest, done forcefully by Mercury who blurted out a "stop, think!" As he did.

Miguel flew back and was caught by the guards, only then was he taken out freely.

He was thrown back in the meeting auditorium.

There he laid face down on the floor, not wanting to get up.

"Is this what has become of you.... Brother?", Luca's voice spoke.

Miguel remained on the floor, this time quiet.

"How could you?", He added.

Boom!

A forceful kick at Miguel.

"You know how much I loved her!", He spoke sounding pained as he walked towards Miguel who laid on the floor not making any move.

"I thought I knew you. I thought I knew the worse you could do... But this....", Luca added as he walked closer.

"This goes beyond everything I could ever imagine!", Luca continued and threw his leg once again at Miguel.

Boom!

His leg was caught mid air.

"Brother I didn't do this!", Miguel added holding Luca's foot.

"Then who did Miguel?! Who did?!", Luca added jumping off the ground and kicking him with his other leg.

Boom!

He flew far once again, rubbing his body on the floor.

"Master Xenguy is one of the most powerful Psychometry masters in Quaila. If it weren't for his status, he would have been a shoulder ruler. And history has shown that he never lies....", Luca said now standing in front of Miguel whom he had hurt so badly.

"A man cannot always be right...", Miguel said coughing.

"A man should know when being wrong will cost him his life!", He added and kicked Miguel for the last time.

The guards who watched wondered how Palmer would react to the news of his son dying before the expected 48hours.
