Chris replied with a nod and asked, "and if I can fix it...?"
Lan Yuma hummed coldly and said, "if a professional verifies that it truly has been repaired, and majority of the losses have been covered, then you both are free to go."
"Alright, I'll hold unto your words", Chris said.
When he was done talking, he picked up the writing brush and outlined the white vase's outline on the rice paper.
Then, he broke open a small hole in the egg, put his index finger in, and wiped it on a fragment of the vase, and then pressed it on the paper model, and afterwards, took up a piece and pressed it on. Gradually, the paper model was being antiqued. The fragments were posted on.
All there watched in silence, they were all scared of interrupting the repair process.
After about 30minutes, Chris rose his head, they saw in front of them, a white dynasty vase looking as good as new.
"Feel free to inspect for flaws", he said to Lan Yuma.
Lan Yuma quickly picked up the vase and began to inspect, flipping it around several times, before disdainfully saying, "are you messing with me? You just pasted it with egg liquid, even if it looks repaired, I'll break your leg and fix it with egg liquid!"
"Don't temper with that vase!"
Just then, they heard a clear and urgent voice at the door.
And afterwards, a dazzling goddess in a small white suit walked in.
With a beautiful face, and a beautiful figure, about 5.9 feet tall, giving out a luxurious aura. Her beautiful eyes had these cold stare as she looked into the room, kinda like a queen.
As soon as Lan Yuma saw her, his facial expression changed immediately. As she got closer, he bowed his head respectfully, "miss, why are you here?", He asked.
She was actually the owner of the Jintang, Walan Sona, the oldest in the Sona family, the top family in the Hillsprings.
Walan snorted and said angrily, "Am I not welcomed to my own shop? Why are these things destroyed?"
Lan Yuma quickly replied, "A customer broke the vase by accident while looking at it, and his son-in-law fixed it with an egg. I was just telling him about how useless such a repair was, and we were talking about the compensation fee."
Walan began to observe the vase herself, and after a while of inspection her expression changed.
Suddenly she turned to Lan Yuma and said, "hurry! Let's go, whoever trained you didn't train you well, touch it!"
On seeing her reaction, Lan Yuma was shocked, "Miss, what do you mean?", He said.
Walan immediately replied angrily, "This relic has just been restored. Only experts can conduct such restoration, not anyone can do this. Don't you get it?"
"But the repairer just used eggs, is that still a recognized repair?", Lan Yuma asked after hesitating.
As he said this, Walan grew angry, "you fool! After such a repair, the price would be almost twice the original, but just for touching it with your filthy hands, it's value will be dropped at least 2 million! Right now pack your things and don't come back here tomorrow!", She said furiously.
She had once seen a porcelain plate around that time at an auction in Hong Kong.
The history of that plate was quite interesting. It was made by the white dynasty. It was broken and restore by a skilled craftsman in the same way.
And because such restoration technique was rare and had been lost in history, it was sold at 13 million which beats the original price by alot.
And since the vase was restored by Chris with a lost technique, the value of the vase will rise!
Lan Yuma's face immediately went pale, little did he know that touching the repaired vase would cost the shop a huge loss and him his job.
"Where's the man that repaired the vase? Show him to me?", Walan asked.
To be continued.....
