"This is preposterous" growled Jombo angrily. "There are dozens of options for pets, and those people chose to keep eagles? Can they even control it?"
"I know, right?" complained Thompson, who thought that it was crossing a line as well. He said, "I'll inform Mr. Zayn right away. He will deal with the matter accordingly."
"Randy, take a closer look. Can you tell who's living in that villa?"
Jombo wanted to find out if the Lierger family was staying there.
"Just a bunch of ladies…"
Randy checked his screen again. That was when he realized that someone was staring right into the camera installed in his mechanical dove.
Panic surged within him. He quickly turned the mechanical dove around, but it was too late.
Bang! A shot was fired from a gun, and Randy's screen turned into nothing but static and Whyte noise.
"My dove!"
Randy was so angry that he jumped to his feet. His tiny fists clenched while fury donned his face.
"What's wrong?" asked Jombo.
"Someone shot my mechanical dove, " answered Randy. He was beyond agitated when he growled, "That is too mean!"
"Such insolence!" said Jombo while frowning. "How dare they destroy my great-grandson's invention!"
Jombo turned to Thompson and ordered, "Send someone over immediately to teach them a lesson!"
"Understood, " replied Thompson. He picked up the phone to send his men to do the job. He even specified, "Tell them that the monster they keep as a pet has frightened our kids and our pet. Also, they damaged our kid's invention, and their owner must apologize in person for it."
After hanging up, Thompson turned to Jombo and asked, "Will this do?"
"What do you think?" asked Jombo as he shifted his attention to Randy. Jombo saw this as a chance to get closer to Randy, and the former was adamant about helping his great-grandson who had been bullied.
"This will do for now, " said Randy while frowning. He was furious, but he was still a reasonable person. He pointed out, "I spied on them with my mechanical dove, so I was at fault, too. It's just that they didn't need to shoot it. They could've spoken to us about it first."
"You are right, " commended Thompson while nodding.
"Also, it is illegal for them to keep an eagle as a pet in this country, " complained Randy angrily. "Its screech scared Dori today. What if they accidentally meet in the sky? That eagle would've eaten Dori."
"Scared! Scared!" called out Dori. It quickly dove into Venus's arms. It was so scared that it was trembling all over as if an eagle was actually there to eat it.
"That's right!" protested Josh with his fists clenched as well. He huffed, "I am a good fighter, but I've never fought an eagle before."
As for Venus, she got so scared that she cried.
"Don't be scared, Venus. I will protect you, " promised Jamis as he stroked her tiny head.
"Randy's right, " commented Jombo while nodding, "Don't worry. I will deal with this matter and keep everyone safe."
"Thank you, Great-grandpa."
Venus and Josh flew into Jombo's arms to thank him.
"Thank you, Great-grandpa!"
Randy thanked Jombo as well. The two of them had been distant in the past, but they finally managed to turn things for the better.
"I should call and inform Mr. Zayn about this."
Thompson felt uneasy, so he walked to the side to call Zayn.
The call was connected soon after. "Mr. Thompson, " greeted Zayn.
"Mr. Zayn, you've heard about how I called Brandy to deal with the residents in Northridge, right?"
"Yes, I will deal with it accordingly."
"They shot and destroyed the mechanical dove that Mr. Randy invented, and he is furious. Mr. Giblo plans to deal with it in person to placate Mr. Randy…"
"No, don't!" shouted Zayn quickly.
"Huh?"
"This is just a minor matter, so I can deal with it. Why would Grandpa go in person?" said Zayn as he thought of an excuse and added, "He's too old to run around and getting into fights for the kids' matters. It's so embarrassing."
"I think so too, " replied Thompson softly before he added, "But I can't stop him."
