As soon as Miguel heard his name and the statement that followed, he looked at his father and was unable to say a word.

Afterwards, he turned to Kayla who he hadn't even seen her panty, how much more impregnate her, kneeling on the floor, with her palms facing the ground as she cried.

Then turned to his brother who couldn't stop looking at the crying Kayla with a sober expression.

He couldnt help but wonder who was behind all of this.

His brother seemed to feel terrible about this as well. After all, Kayla was his childhood sweetheart, now it appears that his own brother slept with her.

Miguel continued thinking: 'Even though I am as heartless as the Quailians paint me to be, I wouldn't stoop that low.'

Even though, he had on some occasions admired Kayla's beauty, he knew her relationship status, her family's feeling about him and most importantly her birth nature.

Kayla was also an Hybrid. A supposed multi possesor of Phytokenesis and some other ability which no one knew about up till that very day.

She was the first daughter of Gregory, born to him by a prisoner from another kingdom who died after Kayla's conception. This happened long before Gregory became an apical head and so it was not severely punished, even though, it logically met all the criterias for punishment. And since the girl in question was one of the most decent girls in the kingdom, it was reasonable to let it slide.

It was believed that Kayla either stayed unmarried or ended up with an average Phytilian to neutralize or kill what ever abilities were hidden in her.

Unfortunately for her, she grew up to be one of the most beautiful girls in all of Quaila, born into a town of milk and honey; where almost every thing there was a youth potion.

For these reasons, her birth status was ignored by most sons of Apical heads. But then a really handsome and powerful Lord from the Starion family won her heart.

When Miguel's brother, Luca started the going around the girl, many people warned him to stay away from her considering hers and his birth status, but he refused, confessing his love and how he would rather be banished than let her go.

Now, outta nowhere, his brother impregnates this girl whom, Miguel claims he would die for and she becomes his Ex. The story still feels incomplete.

At this point, Mecury walked up to Miguel, laid his hand on his back and spoke: "My Lord, everything happens for a reason..."

In all his years of living, growing up with Mercury being his uncle and teacher figure, he had never been this offended by Mercury's words.

"What?! What do you mean by everything happens for a reason?!!! I am going to be sent out into the outlands, How am I going to survive?! How would I eat?! What will I drink?!", Miguel lamented.

"I leave you with a sentence, 'the light gets brighter as you go closer'", Mercury added and walked away.

Miguel stared at him still angry, but couldn't help the words re-echoing in his head.

Mercury had an ability that not many knew about, aside being a multi possessor, having all abilities of Quaila, his words penetrated through steel hearts and laid there.

Same reason he was able to stop Miguel and some other agry fighters with just a mere word, 'stop!'

Miguel stood there hopelessly as he watched Mercury walk away.

"I believe the declaration that all wants to hear has been said. You may all leave!", Palmer said as he stood from his throne.

All could see that Palmer was hit hard.

The helpless old man walked away, unable to look at his favourite son, Miguel.

Everyone in the auditorium soon began to leave one after the other.

The rule of Quaila was that, after a the declaration of banishment, the banished had 48hours to leave the town.

Afterwards, if seen, the 7 demons of the kingdom will be released to kill.

These demons are slaves to the land by a convenant. They cannot break the laws of Quaila, which includes destruction of lives and property unless during a battle. And so they are used to enforce the laws, like that of the banishing.

One of these demons is almost twice as strong as Palmer, and they don't attack alone; all 7 moves at once.

With their help, the last major hybrid was killed. The only reason it destroyed almost half of Quaila was that some criteria of the rule breaking had not been triggered for their release. But as soon as it was, the demons made their move immediately and the battle only took about 5 minutes for the hybrid to be killed; shattered to pieces.

So if Miguel and Kayla were to stay one minute after the declared 48hours and were to be found and reported by anyone to the temple where these demons were locked up, Miguel, Kayla and the unborn child will be killed.
