In an instant, Nora's expression changed. What restuarant did Chris order?
"Are you lying to me?", she couldn't help but ask.
"Why would I?", Chris replied with a smile.
"A couple of days ago, I made a reservation for this place, if you are still in doubt, why don't we go in and find out", Chris replied.
Nora shook her head still bewildered. They've been married for 3 years now, and not once has Chris lied to her, why do so now on this special day?
After the thought, she said affirmatively, "I believe you!"
"I hope you didn't reserve a seat in the sky garden, remember there's a big person who chattered that place right?", she said.
"I chose a place just next to the sky garden, and from there we can have a good look at the it, and have a look at the mysterious person who must have booked it!", he replied.
"You know am not into gossip like you!", Nora replied.
They both walked inton the Shangri-La hotel.
Just as they were about to go up, they heard a voice say, "Nora? What are you doing here?"
Nora turned to see who was talking, and coming towards her and Chris, was a couple of young men and women.
The man coming was in an obviously expensive suit, it was obvious he was from a wealthy family. While the woman, on a well known brand and heavily made-up, her bows and eyes were full of arrongant colours, her dress seemed a bit kitsch.
Nora knew the woman, her name's Lisa, she was her roommate back at college.
Even though they were roommates, they weren't classmates.
And even though they inhabited one room, there relationship wasn't strong at all.
That was because Lisa Zano pretended to be really high minded but was quite jealous.
She always felt like she deserved the title of the most beautiful girl in college and not Nora.
The truth is that she wasn't so far of from Nora in terms of beauty, and body build.
She was actually better than Nora at hooking up with men. The truth was that, in time past, she had hooked in a lot of rich men. And her four years expenses in school were paid by these men.
Nora wasn't so happy so her, but when she saw the rest people she had to hide how she felt, "Lisa! It's really been a long time since we last met. I and my husband came here for dinner", Nora replied.
"That's a coincidence. I too came to with my husband for dinner", Lisa replied.
"By the way, which position did you book? Is it the ordinary, premium, or luxury?", Lisa asked in an attempt to taunt.
However, Nora was ignorant of her husband's reservation, "I really don't know where my husband reserved", she replied.
Just then, Lisa looked up to see the face of Nora's husband. On seeing him, she put a hand on her mouth and giggled secretly, "isn't this Chris? The very ordinary guy in school back then?", She said sneering.
Her sentence was obviously scornful.
Nora felt embarrassed by it.
Lisa immediately noticed how harsh her words were and hurriedly spoke in an apologetic manner, "Oh, I am so sorry, don't blame me for saying my mind out loud, please don't mind me!"
On seeing this, Chris frowned, this lady was obviously atrocious.
