"Bell…", I repeated the name.
"Yeah Bell!", She added with a cute smile.
"Know anyone bearing such?", She asked raising a brow.
"Not really.", I replied with a nod.
"We should probably go back to the fort so you can get some warmth", I said as I gestured with my hands for us to go inside the fort.
She touched her chest and dramatically exclaimed: "wow……"
"One of my fears was that I would be rejected by those in the fort and would not like a person there; probably pretend so I get food and shelter. But who would have thought that I would fall in love with the first person I meet.", She added.
I chuckled abit and added still gesturing: "Don't jump into such a conclusion so early."
"I guess I was lucky then!", She said pushing her hair backwards as she smiled at me.
"I won't consider meeting me lucky either…… just come with me let's get you some warmth and something to eat maybe.", I added now walking away.
She had no choice but follow.

In no time, we got back to the busy main chambers.
"What's going on here? Is this how you guys party every night?", She added dancing to the music.
"Not really, just celebrating!", I added looking around for a familiar face.
And luckily found Ms. Judith.
"Celebrating what?", Bell asked smiling and looking around.
"Ms. Judith", I called tapping.
"Yes dear?!", She replied with all attention. "Where are your clothes and why are you wet?", she further asked as she looked at me and then saw Bell beside me.
"Hi!", Bell waved at her with a smile.
"Hey…", she replied with less smile on her face.
"Who's this?", She asked turning back to me.
"Someone I found drowning… do you know her?", I added. She turned to Bell, stared for a while and then turned back to me.
"I am not sure. Anyways how can I help you?", She asked.
"I need food and clothes for Bell; can you help me?", I asked.
"Sure! Anything for you Der!", She added with a smile, turned around and added "Follow me!" And began to walk.
We followed closely as Bell continued talking.
"Why was she looking at me like that?", Bell whispered to my ear after pulling me down by my arm.
"I don't know, but I'm sure it's nothing. Ms. Judith sometimes acts motherly to me, probably just being protective", I replied.
"Motherly… you sure?", She asked with a weird smile and then winked.
"Yeah…", I added as we walked behind Ms. Judith.
"Derick!", I heard Helen call.
I turned to her as she spoke: "leaving already? Where are the clothes I got you?"
"I have to escort a friend…", I replied.
"What friend?!", She asked now turning to Bell.
"Hi", Bell said with a wave.
"Whoa what…", the stunned Helen stuttered.
"Why is she in the clothes I got you?", She asked.
"She had no clothes when I found her so I had to give her mine.", I replied.
"She… wait, she was…", she added like one loosing her breath as she stared at Bell who was several points above her in everything especially figure.
"We have to go…", I added about to leave.
"Go where?!", Helen asked furiously.
"Get her some new clothes and something to eat", I said pointing at Ms. Judith who was standing at the door waiting.
"From Ms. Judith?", She asked.
"Yes…", I added as I began to walk away saying: "let's go Bell."
……
"What was that about?", Ms. Judith asked as soon as we got to where she was.
"Helen was just asking a few questions.", I replied.
"And wasn't through with you before you left!", Helen's harsh voice spoke abruptly and we all turned to her.
"Take Bell and do what ever you want with her, Derick's coming with me!", Helen added harshly.
"That's Derick's choice to make not yours. And also, is that how to treat a new settler?", Ms. Judith who sounded a bit pissed asked.
"Derick's my date, so mind your business missy. And also how I treat people is my business. And by the way, don't you dare think that because you are a sub commander now, we are equal. Get this into that brain of yours, WE ARE NOT!", Helen spoke harshly.
Pow!
A resounding slap to Helen's face.
"Don't you dare speak to me like that ever again! My staying here is no thanks to you! Not my food, housing or protection is thanks to you. But you try pissing me off for even a day and watch if you won't fall sick!", Ms. Judith said really angry.
"He is the only reason I am here! His orders alone I obey!", She added and turned to me.
"Should I leave?", She asked.
Looking at Helen and the crowd that had been gathered because of the scene, I nodded saying: "please take Bell with you."
"As you wish Lord Derick.", She said, spat in front of Helen, added a sigh: "spoilt brat" and left with Bell who kept on looking back.
