Nora too was also surprised.
First of, Chris's BMW which he claimed to be a 520, was faster than Phillip's 540.
Then again, his ancient painting which he claimed to be a couple of thousands, actually worths 200 thousand.
And now, he knows people in the underworld, and they respect him so much.
While they went back home, Chris began to explain to her.
He told her that his BMW 520 was a test-driving model, modified by the 4s store. To make this it more powerful, he claimed he made a little modification.
Nora had little knowledge on cars, so it was easy to fool her with that.
As for the painting, he already explained it to her earlier on.
But the thug thing still doesn't add up.
Besides, he called him "Mr. Chris" on repeat, Chris is yet to fully explain that.
At the end all he could say was that the thug's brother is friend's relative. And that he had seen him at his friends party, and the thug respected him because of his friend.
Nora was still not fully convinnced, but she saw that Chris seemed to have an answer to all her questions and so she decided to stop asking.
Tesla has had a close eye on Chris, and it was obvious to her that Chris wasn't simple, so she decided to keep a closer eye on him to see what he was truly made of.
Phillip fell into a coma and is still in the hospital.
His father too was expelled from the Axel Group and when they dug deep into his working at the Axel Group, they actually discovered that he had been a con man. So not only was he fired but was also sued by the Axel Group, there after, he was arrested by the public security.
It was obvious that Phillip's family is done for!
But Phillip's family is not famous in the Hillsprings, and so no one cares about his living or dying.
The ones that get the attention are the god-level tycoons and big figures who hangs out in the Shangri-La. Especially the one who booked the hanging garden.
They all can't wait to know him, who is he?
Eventually it was time for the wedding anniversary.
Since he promised her a huge surprise, he persuaded her to put on an elegant white evening dress before they went out.
Nora finally agreed, grumbling, "Come on Chris, we just going out to get a meal. Why do I have to dress so formal? I know today's our wedding anniversary but that doesn't mean you should make such a big deal out of it", Chris replied.
"Today is our 3rd anniversary dear, it is expected to be formal. I already made reservation for the place where we are going to eat. Today's arrangements are definitely going to satisfy you!", Chris replied in suiting romantic tone.
On hearing this, she smiled and nodded blushing.
For the past 2 years, their wedding anniversary hasn't been taking seriously, they stayed at home like every other day. But even though Chris at the time had no money, he still went out of his way to get her small gifts.
But this year, Chris's behaviour has been quite different, he is been really mysterious lately, and his actions have become alot more unpredictable.
After that, they both got dressed and boarded a taxi which took them to the Shangri-La hotel.
When Chris stepped out of the taxi, he looked at Nora, admiring her beauty in his heart and said, "Nora, this is where we are going to celebrate out 3rd wedding anniversary tonight. How do you feel about that?"
