All watched in shock and fear, but some like Timothy were secretly joyed.

Is this it? What he had long been waiting for, finally happening. And it wasn't because of him. He was engulfed in this mix feeling; on one hand, he wanted Palmer to die by his own hand and on the other, he wanted him to die badly that he to some extent was loosing patience.

The battle for Apical head was just in a week's time before the occurrence of this event. The last century's Apical head battle resulted in the loosing of his leg to Lord Palmer.

He knew that this time, he really had no chance of winning. With both legs he could barely land a decent blow on Palmer, how much more now that he has a substitute cemented leg.

But before his very eyes, Palmer was about to die, and his super progeny, Miguel was about to be banished from the kingdom, leaving the intelligent Luca.

Either ways, he has no chance to be ruler of Quaila. But maybe his son might.

He looked at his son who's worried expression could not be hidden.

The only problem his son had to him was his heart fullness and admiration for Palmer.

As at the time of his father and Palmer's fight, he was only an infant and so didn't understand why his dad hated Palmer so much. And his proud father has never told him about their fight for fear of his admiration for Palmer increasing.

At this point, a pack of healers had surrounded Palmer, immersing so much healing energy that the light dispersed where Palmer is was almost as bright as the sun.... Even the healers had to close their eyes.

This act performed by the healers is known as the restoration session. If done properly by masters, almost all illnesses and infirmity can be cured.

Unfortunately most of the true healers had died.

The former ruler of Helilia who was said to restore even body parts that had been amputated died.

If it weren't for the harsh reality of time, he'll still be alive. That man would have lived forever. He was protected equally or even more than the ruler of Quaila. His power was so great that he was buried at the center of a pool in Helilia, and any sick who stepped in will be healed immediately. The pool was named after him, they called it: "Merlin's fountain."

The present healers are not even half as good as Merlin, the closest is his son, Gandolf; and the most he can do is straighten straighten broken bones.

When the light came down, Palmer opened his eyes and was assisted up by his sons.

They placed him on the throne to sit for a while as all watched in absolute silence, waiting for him to speak.

Timothy whose excitement had long dropped since he saw the number of healers running to Palmer's aid stood there watching with a frown and a stern expression.

"What's your decree?!", The angry Timothy spoke in irritation.

Even those who didn't like Palmer that much had to turn to Timothy wondering what kind of heartless person he was. Although most of them who witnessed or knew about the beat down he received from Palmer could understand his hatred.

To everyone's surprise, Palmer smiled and said: "rules are rules."

As soon as his words fell, the crowd was stunned, Timothy especially. He expected Palmer to bend the rules or delay because of his favourite son so he could attack, but the his ears refused to cooperate with his mouth.

On hearing this, Miguel stood there speechlessly staring at his father. His spirit had been shattered completely.

He recalled all the women he had spent a night with, and the procedures he had to follow for just a moment of pleasure. Even afterwards, he still follows them up to ensure that none came out pregnant, even though their pregnancy wouldn't result in such a punishment.

For the main reason why the punishment is banishing is because the children of birthed from such meeting usually end up demon like.

When done amongst regular Quailians, due to how weak their strengths are, they are easily eradicated and so the punishment is usually mild and in most cases due to how weak the demon nature is, the child can be transformed and de-demonized, but for Apical families whose strengths are usually the highest amongst all others birth children whose demon nature may be strong enough to wipe out almost half of Quaila, like some in the past; and these ones weren't from the Quaila's head ruling multi possessor family, how much more now.

Bending this law could mean the destruction of the entire Quaila.

Miguel and most of those who knew the laws of Quaila and their implications naturally understood this.

Timothy's words, which he had to swallow back was inline with this.

'He wants us to bend law at the expense of our lives!'

Unfortunately for him, Palmer knew better.

"Miguel Starion and Kayla Peckerman are hereby banished from Quaila!", He said, and even though the crowd knew this would be his next sentence, they were still in an uproar.
