PREVIOUSLY ON CALEB'S MIND:
the principal just stood there watching .....I... followed with caution, his heart beated steadily, which was not normal, there's usually a distortion in heart beats when people talk to me, especially when they feel I am not normal.
"Lizard boy!!", Merylin's boyfriend called as I continued touching my hurt neck, "you were saved by the principal in the morning, now we are out, I'll make sure I mess you up.
"he made a fool out of a member of my crew" not so tall but more muscular guy said as he walked from behind them, "Jimmy!", Merylin called.
I looked up at them and all that came to heart was hate and carnage, I had seen about 53 ways to pass out my wrath on these guys
"why don't you just leave him alone!", I said aloud, Jimmy and his crew just continued laughing aloud.

Caleb's POV:
Desperate times calls for desperate majors, these guys are pushing me to the wall, I just need to get Merylin and her friends away from me.
"Merylin leave!'?", I said quietly , " I cant leave you here Caleb", she said to me, "You all should stop this!!!, your principal is on his way!", the woman said aloud, "you just made things worse ma'am!;the entire school knows we are the ones behind this, so we are definitely getting a detention or what ever punishment", Jimmy said aloud, " which means we better make our detention worth it, I planned stones earlier, but that's seeming like child's play, and there's even no time for that, we going to give him a severe beat down", he added, "the principal just Left his office!", someone yelled from behind. Now all I have to do is stall till he comes, "boys!!!!!", he called out like a warrior as he and 4 others including Merylin's boyfriend charged at me; there's no way I can out run a team of basketballers.
Merylin's boyfriend was first, charging in with a punch approaching my face with a speed of 20 miles per hour, I could dodge this and deliver a decent uppercut, but I really don't want to do anything physical, besides there are 4 more behind him, what is going to happen to them, and i doubt my punch would take him out in one strike, I need at least three, and I don't have that time or speed to deliver that, Jimmy is just behind also about to also pounce on me with a seemingly heavier blow. I really don't want to raise a hand on these guys but I have to, I don't want to put more expenses on the vixuses.
I neatly dodged Merylin's boyfriend's punch as calculated and gave him a clean uppercut from the right, which fortunately swayed him to Jimmy just as planned; Jimmy delivered an additional blow to him and he fell straight to the ground knocked out good, the rest of them stopped in shock, as I stood there swinging my hand back and forth in pain; Jimmy grew more furious seeing what he had done to his friend, "you are going to pay severely for this!!", he bellowed as he approached again;this time with more speed, aggression and force packed punch, "he is here!!!", I heard a student yell, " what's going on here!", the principal said aloud as he made his way through the crowd, Jimmy's punch was already mid air; if I waist even as small as 500ms I will receive the entire punch, obviously powerful enough to knock me out good, I leaned side ways, successfully dodging and in a good position to deliver a gutt jab; I really want to do this but the principal is here already; but I doubt Jimmy's going to stop even if the principal was next to him, so I have to do something that will drop his adrenaline; luckily for me one of his legs is off the floor, putting my leg just in front would lead to an instant crash; but again I don't want to get physical, at least I don't want to make it look obvious.
I successfully dodged his punch acting like it was an accident, and that I tripped; and in that motion I kicked his leg(the one about to land) and as planned he fell straight to the ground.
There was a wind of silence that blew for a second or two and the entire school flared up in cheers, as they celebrated Jimmy's fall.
"what happened!!?", the principal asked, "this innocent young man was being bullied by these boys", the woman replied, " is that so?", the principal asked rhetorically, "yes sir!!", Merilyn replied aloud; the principal paused for awhile and then looked at Merylin's knocked out boyfriend, and then Jimmy, who was obviously still angry, and then at me, "as of this moment, the both of you are suspended!", he said in a commanding tone, "but sir we have a big game next tommorow!", one of the ballers said from the crowd, "I don't care!, you can't turn the school upside down and expect to receive a pardon just because you have a stupid game that only gives the school trophies", the principal replied, "as for you, Mr vixus, I'll like to have a word with you; the rest of you go to your various houses, I don't want to see any of you in the school premises till tommorow; is that clear!!?", he asked aloud, " yes sir!", they chorused in a depressing tone; "your punishment will be decided ad revealed to you tommorow", he said as the students began to leave one by one, some in groups; and in less than 5minutes they were all gone, leaving just I, Merylin, the principal, the girl and the woman.
The principal turned to me, and smiled, we were all shocked at his reaction, there's definitely something up with him, "Caleb!, the gifted", he said as he put a hand on my shoulder, " there are more persecutions to come, far worst than this, I pray that you would be strong enough to handle them; Merylin, I never expected such courage and selflessness from you!", he said as he looked at Merylin who was standing not so far away, "Mrs Jones!, I am grateful", he said to her, "save it!!", she said furiously, " how come an entire school was turning upside down and you didn't even notice, with all that noise", she added, "the thing is I and the rest of the teachers went for an outing right after the special classes, it was actually supposed to be before the special classes, but Mrs Barbara delayed, when I got back, I used the principal's doorway I had them construct for me to go into office.
The principal's job is quite exhausting and takes alot of time to work out papers especially for students with no educational background", he said and looked at me, "so I put on my stereo and increased the volume to the max, turned on the ac and started working; your call actualy startled me; especially when I heard the reason behind it, I was honestly in doubt at first, I didn't expect such at all, I really apologize", he said and smiled at Mrs Jones, "I just think you should keep a more keen eye on your students", she said and turned away, obviously about to walk away, "Mary, Merylin lets go!", Mrs Jones said as she left, and Mary followed, "Merylin, aren't you coming?", Mary said as she reluctantly followed her mom; "go without me I'll be there in a sec", she said as she seemingly gathered courage to speak.
The place was awkwardly quiet as I and the principal waited for her to speak, because she obviously had something on her mind, "Mr Patrick, how do you know about Caleb", she broke the silence with that unexpected question; the silence resurfaced again as the question soared in the air unanswered, "...he was brought to me", he broke the silence, "what do you mean?", she asked, "before taking him to the church, I and several others were asked to house a gifted child, I personally wanted to, because I feared the child would be exploited, and besides I don't have a child of my own; but my wife bluntly refused, she claimed I had lost faith in God, and that keeping such a child is a doubtful act", he explained, "but I had done a little research already, so I know a thing two about his capability, and so the dangers involved if he is exploited; Infact his case almost lead to a divorce, and even at that, I was willing to take him, if no one in the church did; and because the next option was to tell the government, and I don't think I need to explain to you what that means", he further explained, "so the government is unaware of Caleb's existence?", Merylin asked, " no, he was kept a secret, a very dangerous one, that if discovered could lead to the church's shutdown", he answered, "they did this because of their last experience", he further explained as Mrs Jones's car pulled up behind us, as its horn was honked repeatedly, " Merylin!!", Mary yelled, "let's go!!", she added, " what experience? ", Merylin asked as she walked slowly to the car she was backing, "Caleb wasn't the only special child", he replied.
