Chris got sitted with Nora and Tesla, and shortly after, Phillip came to join them, sitting next to Tesla.
As soon as his butt came in contact with the chair, he smiled and turned to Tesla, "Tesla, I heard you came to the Hillsprings to work at the Axel Group, is that true?", He asked.
Tesla nodded in agreement.
"What a coincidence. My dad happens to be the deputy general manager of one of a departments there. Don't worry, I'll let him know that you are my friend and make sure you are taken care of", he added.
As soon as Phillip was done talking, others in the table were amazed.
"Brother Phillip, is your dad really the deputy general manager of the Axel Group?", They asked.
"Absolutely, he was promoted last year!", Phillip said proudly.
"Wow, I heard the annual salary as the deputy general of the Axel Group is several millions, right? Now it adds up, no wonder you guys are so rich!", Someone hurriedly said.
Phillip smiled and turned to the person, "Several millions is just salary. My dad is very powerful and makes some extra money. And now that the Axel Group is on the hotel project. Certainly, after this he is going to get 10 to 20 million", He said pompously.
Another male student sitted directly opposite him asked, "Brother Phillip, I submitted my resume to work at the Axel Group, but I am yet to received a reply. Can you please tell your dad to help me get in from the inside?"
Phillip replied with a nod, "Send me your resume on WeChat. I'll let him know!", He said.
On hearing this, Chris couldn't help but frown. He had no idea that Phillip's dad was an executive in the Axel Group.
This is quite amusing though. In that case he is going to send a text to Stella to get Phillip's dad fired.
"Phillip, if your dad is so great in the Axel Group, why didn't he get you in?", Chris deliberately asked.
"It makes no sense for me to join in. My father and I are quite close, and so if I get in, they would all know me as his son and would treat me too well, which will arouse suspicion", Phillip replied.
"So I don't bother thinking like that. I have created a company of my on for building materials, and with that, I'll cooperate with the Axel Group, and my dad will request for my building materials when ever the Axel Group needs!", Phillip added.
"I see!", Chris replied.
"It's okay, that's to say you make a lot of money?", Someone asked.
"It's fine, in a matter of one year, I'll make alot of money!", Phillip replied.
"What about you Chris? What have you been doing aside washing clothes and cooking?", Phillip asked.
All there began to laugh.
Chris smiled and said, "aside washing clothes and cooking, I also take my wife to work and massage her back when she gets back. So my life is quite busy."
On hearng this Phillip grew angry. This idiot is used to being taken for granted, and is cool with it. Is he making a fool of me?
Phillip gnashed his teeth trying to tame his anger, "Chris I didn't expect you to be happily eating leftovers!", He said.
"Why shouldn't I? I don't steal to get it, I don't snatch it from anyone, so why shouldn't I comfortably eat what I have?", Chris replied.
The Students around looked at Chris like a fool.
They've all experienced shamelessness in their own way, but never have they seen someone this shameless.
The point remained that, they were still quite jealous.
Nora was too beautiful. A queen so many people fantasize just a moment with. Her goddess level of beauty.
They were all full of jealousy, envy, and hatred.
If only they could serve this goddess, What does it matter to be a live-in son-in-law? It is still a big win in life.
Phillip was full with rage.
Just then, Griffin's wife, Lilian stepped onto the stage.
With a smile on her face, she said, "I want to thank you all for coming! Thanks alot for your gifts, it is truly appreciated. Griffin and I are indeed moved by them. We have decided to announce the gifts and their givers, and express our gratitude to each and everyone of them!"
SInce it's an opening ceremony, gifts are certainly going to be presented.
