"Ahhhhh!!", The ladies began to scream.
"JT run, the mayor should have guards!!!", The running Jake yelled.
"That's truuuuuuue…", John yelled while he ran.
I stood in front of the door as I watched these grown men run and fall like children.
"Jayyyy.......", John yelled as he continued running after Jake.
Jane and her mom at this time had found their way to their rooms.
The loud bang, and the screams of Jake and John aroused the attention of those in the street, they stood in front of their houses as they looked around.
I walked in and spoke out: "They are gone!"
"Are you sure?!", Jane's scared mom whispered, so faintly that if I didn't have my abilities I probably wouldn't hear her.
"Yeah, you girls can come out!", I said firmly.
Only then did they come out.
"Mrs. Gandolf!", someone called from outside.
"Mrs. Gandolf!", He called again.
"I'm coming!", Jane's mom replied as she came out from the house.
"Are you okay?!", the man who at the point was already in the dark living room asked.
"We're fine!", Jane's mom said with Jane behind her.
"Honey is she okay?!", A woman asked as she approached the house.
"Yeah sweetie, she seems fine!", the man replied as the woman came in with the torch in her hand.
The light from the torch was shone on Jane's mom, then at Jane and stopped.
"Jane!", she called with a forced smile.
"You're back!", she added.
"Wow Jane, when did you get back?", the man asked.
Before Jane could reply, the torch was shone on me.
"Ahh!", the shocked woman yelled as she let go of the torch.
"Who are you?!", the man pointed his gun at me as he stood prepared to shoot.
"He's with us!", Jane hurriedly said.
"Jane you don't have to lie, I blow up his black mail with my gun!", the man said still pointing the gun at me.
"Why would I lie! Can't you see he's just a teenager!", Jane added with a serious expression.
"That's true honey…", the man's wife said.
After a brief moment of evaluation, her expression changed dramatically as she continued staring at me.
"Wait, is he your?", she added immediately with some emotion in her tone as the man lowered his gun.
"My?", Jane asked with a confused expression.
"Your son?!", The woman added almost in tears.
"No! How?! He's not!", Jane replied with a shocked expression.
"Oh, okay… sorry", The woman replied and then picked up the fallen torch.
After a brief and awkward silence, the man looked at the fallen door whose glass had been shattered and said: "what do we do about this?"
"Just help me pick it up…", I said after turning on the lights, then bent down to hold an edge.
"Alright", the man said and handed his gun to his wife.
"Woah!", The shocked wife said as she held the gun with trembling hands.
With the man's help, we lifted the door back in it's position, tilting it slightly so it could stand.
"This should do for the night!", I said hitting my hands against themselves.
"You sure, why don't you guys come over? I mean there's alot of room at our place.", He offered.
"Yeah… and we don't know if they are going to come back!", His wife added from outside; behind the raised door.
"Not su…", before I could complete the sentence, Mary's mom spoke up quickly: "yes, we would love to. Thank you so much Mr. Potter!"
On hearing this I could only exhale heavily and say nothing.
"Alright let's go!", He added standing in front of the door we had raised.
"Isn't there a back door?", I asked not wanting to go through the labour of picking up the door again.
"Yes there is!", Jane's mom quickly replied as she walked in that direction.
"I'll join you guys right after am done clearing the table!", Jane said looking at her mom leading the man out.
"Oh… uhm, alright Jane. Let's go Caleb!", her mom added.
"Don't worry, go without me, I'll stay with her incase they come back…"
"Brave lad!", The man smiled and followed Jane's mom away.
"It's Benjamin isn't it?!", I asked as I helped her out on the table.
As soon as my voice fell, she began to cry.
I walked closer to her and placed my hand on her back.
You're probably wondering when I became this caring or this wordful.... Truth be told, I am the same old Caleb, suffocated with the fact I have to socialize and act nice to people.
But I need their loyalty.
"It's okay Jane...", I said as I hugged her.
Just then someone opened the back door Jane's mom and the man who came to help walked out through.
"Jane!", I said trying to pull Jane off me to see who it was even though the smell was familiar.
"Jane?!", Potter's wife called sounding shocked.
Only then did Jane let go of me to look.
"Oh, I am so sorry!", she said and turned around to leave, obviously having the wrong impression in mind.
"Mrs. Potter!", Jane called.
"Don't worry, I understand… my lips are sealed", she said as she kept on walking away.
