Phillip's gone insane.
He didn't want to look like a fool in front of Chris and the rest of his classmates, so he took the firecrackers from Griffin's hand and threw it into his car, immediately grabbed the lighter and the firecrackers fuse, and turned to Chris, "look at me very well! I can afford to lose, not like some people I know!", He said looking at Chris.
After saying that, he lit the lighter.
The firecrackers were ignited in his car. They exploded as everyone watched.
When it started, the fire in the car was visible, but after a while the car was covered in with think white smoke. But the sound of constantly exploding firecracker made Phillip's heart skip beats. But those who watched were excited.
They went as far as bringing out their phones to film, with the intention of posting it on Instagram and Facebook, so that others could watch the exciting show.
The 30 thousand ringing fireworks exploded and in no time the seats of Phillip's BMW which were made of some flamable sponge was now engulfed in flames.
No one expected that the seats would be ignited though, although the flame was masked by the white smoke. But when the smoke came down, the heat burst open the car, and the compartments began to fall apart engulfed in flames.
They were all shocked to see this, they screamed in terror.
"Someone put out the fire! Put out the fire!", Phillip panicked.
He initially thought that the firecrackers would only destroy the interior of his car, and so he would just spend a few thousand, maybe a hundred or so to have it fixed, he never thought it will take down the car itself.
He called out for someone to help him get a fire extinguisher, but there was none close by and no one could help him quench the wildfire burning hazardously.
He quickly brought out his phone and dialed 119, and waited desperately, about to die of anxiety as the flames grew more wild, almost occupying the entire car.
By the time the firefighters he called arrived, the BMW was left with its mere frames.
Burnt so much so it was no longer recognized.
On seeing this, Phillip sat on the floor weakened as he watched his BMW burning to crisps.
If only he knew this would be the outcome, he never would have made such a bet with Chris. Not only did he loose his dignity, he lost his car as well.
Griffin's face remained expressionless, but he was quite happy about this in his heart and so secretly gave Chris a thumbs up.
"Don't be sad, sorry about what has happened. Times running out though, shall we go in for the dinner? That might cheer you up", Griffin said to Phillip.
Phillip wanted to leave as quick as possible, but when he thought about it, if he left it would only make matters worse and besides he needs to get back at the bastard that caused everything, Chris!
So he got up and acted like he was okay, "why should I be sad? It's just an ordinary bet", he said pretentiously.
"Yeah, Brother Phillip is really rich, what's an ordinary BMW to him?", Some of his classmates came around saying.
"For him it's like a mere toy!", They added.
They all could tell Phillip wanted to shrug what happened off and so they stopped talking about it and followed Griffin.
In the restaurant, Griffin had set up several banquet tables in the lobby, and on the small podium in the front, he placed a banner there, in celebration of the old classmates reunion as well as the opening of the new restaurant.
