Chapter 38 - Forged in hell

This isn't good for Ronald.

I honestly don't care; infact, I want Ronald dead.

But if Derick kills Ronald, there's no way the commander will let him into the village; and if he is not allowed into the village, there's no way I can get anyone from the fort with knowledge to help him.

I turned to Derick as he stepped forward, chain rolling down his arm.

"Xender, stop him!", dad said as he took steps back wards.

"Derick!", Helen said walking up to him with caution.

As soon as she held his hand, he sent her flying with a slight push.

"Oh my God!", Ronald exclaimed as he rolled his wheelchair away.

"You are not going anywhere!", Derick said as he threw his chain forward; the chain got entangled with the wheelchair and it moved no further.

Derick jumped a couple of feets in the air, across the bridge and landed in front of Ronald.

The commander who had been walking back, accidentally came in contact with a stone and fell to the ground.

With his butt on the ground, he continued watching soul-less and all powerful Derick in fear; it was obvious at this point that he was far from human.

"Please don't kill me", Ronald spoke out with tears in his eyes.

"kill you? what's the fun in that? After seeing so many things far worse than death, why should I give such pleasure?", Derick said in a very hostile manner as he pulled Ronald up by his collar bone.

"Ahhhhh.... I swear, I had nothing to do with her!", Ronald cried and pleaded.

"You dare lie!", Derick spoke as his eyes glowed red.

"De..", I stood there completely confused.

"I... I.... I did no", Ronald stammered some more.

"Do you know what they do to liars in hell?", Derick asked as he pulled out a red hot blade from the side of his shoulder; the blade seemed to have been there for quite a while, which explains the horn like bump on his shoulder. It wasn't a horn, but a blade.

"Xender do something!", the commander yelled.

"Derick!!", I screamed, knowing the implication of what he has started.

If I can get to him, the commander might actually let him in, on the grounds that I can control him.

Derick continued doing what he was ignoring everyone else.

I looked around to see if I can find anything that could help.

"Xender, let's throw stones!", Helen yelled with a stone in her hand.

"It should slow him down!", she added as she threw a big stone at Derick.

With a swift motion of his hand, Derick diverted the stone and it went straight to the commander's forehead and shattered.

The commander instantly became unconcious.

"Oh!", Helen exclaimed as she held her mouth.

Derick ignored all of this and continued doing what he was.

As soon as Ronald saw the blade and how steamy hot it was, he cried out: "I did, I did, but I didn't mean to kill her!", he continued crying.

"I am well aware of your transgression, you intended to kill me! Isn't that so?", Derick said as he took the knife closer to his ear.

"Please.. please", he begged as he moved his head away.

"Why are you begging? Its no use", Derick said as he moved his blade across his ear.

"Ahhhhhh!", Ronald screamed i severe pain as his ear, instead of falling off, it melted and began to bubble like something boiling.

The pain was obviously unbearable.

Ronald screamed and moved around unable to get off Derick's grip on his collarbone.

Derick's strength was too great; with one hand, he lifted Ronald up by his collarbone like a a mere rag and with the other, he use the knife to melt his ear.

"I agree, you were the one, I wanted to kill not Mrs. Claire, the old hag jumped in front of the arrow!", he cried.

"Old hag?!", Derick replied aloud angered.

Oh no!

Ronald and his extremely stupid choice of words.

"Derick!", I screamed as I ran across the bridge in fear that this was definitely gooing to be the end of Ronald.

With a jab, Derick peirced the left side of Ronald's chest.

"Shhh!", he hushed.

"If you breathe too fast, your heart will come in contact with my knife, and like your left ear, it will melt; so unless you can live without your heart stay calm.", Derick said coldly.

Even I and Helen, who weren't the victim at the time remained where we were, afraid to breathe as though the knife was in our chest.

Ronald hummed quietly, seemingly also holding his breath.

"You dare call Ms. Claire and old hag?!", Derick said as he slowly brought the knife down, cutting through Ronald like meat.

Ronald shut his eyes tight in pain, this truely seemed worse than death.

Although I wanted Ronald to suffer, but I didn't expect him to suffer this much. I honestly started feeling sorry for the cripple; Derick on the other hand didn't seem to feel a thing, it seemed as though his heart was hollow.

"When the pain you feel gets to a point, is only natural for your mortal body to die. But it doesn't end here; I have told Hades about you, your afterlife will be way worse than this.", Derick said coldly.

At this time the knife was getting closer to his tummy, so I rushed forward and said, "Derick, please stop!"

He didn't even look at me.

"Stop!", we heard another voice call.

I turned to see who it was, it was sub commander Ping, in his hand was a scabbard housing a really long sword.

Derick's attention was caught by this.

The sword wielding commander quickly pulled out the sword and stretched it at Derick and said: "Do you know what this is?"

The sword was really long and black, with its tip flat, seemingly broken; I have never seen anything like it in my entire life.

Derick took out the knife from Ronald's chest and said, "Don't die just yet, I'll be back for you!", dropped him and walked towards Ping.

"The lost sword of Hades. Hades told me about it, who knew it was in the hands of a peasant like you!", Derick said as he got closer to Ping who was gradually walking back.

"We don't to fall now do we?", he asked.

Ping looked back and realized he was close to the river.

"Hand it over. You have commited no crime so killing wouldn't be a big deal.", Derick said as he walked closer.

"Derick, don't do this, I can make you whole again. You have to trust me", Ping said.

"I trust no mortal!", Derick said and jumped feets in the air, landed in front of Ping and took the sword from his hand with a dashing speed.

Before we could blink, the sword was out of the sword wielding commander and in the hands of Derick.

"What made you think you could use this against me. Your strength, speed and even your thinking pales in front of me", Derick said as he turned back to Ronald.

"Good thing, I had it broken!", Ping yelled as he stabbed Derick's back

"How's that for thinking?", the sub commander said boastfully as Derick stood motionless.
