The next day morning, after Chris as had breakfast, he rode his scooter to the Axel group.
He parked and locked his scooter in the Axel Group's parking lot. Just then a black Bentley car parked slowly, in a parking space directly opposite him.
Chris looked up, and coming out of the car was a young couple.
The man was on a branded suit, he looked quite handsome and smart, while the woman, in a flamboyant style. Although a bit tacky, but still looked beautiful.
It was actually Nora's cousin Linda and her fiance Benjamin, the eldest son of the White family.
Unfortunately, Linda spotted him from a distance, "Chris!", She yelled immediately.
Linda had called his name, their meeting had become inevitable, so he had no choice but stop and wait for them to approach him.
As they came close, he gave a smile, "Hello Linda, why are you here?", He asked. Linda chuckled, "I and Benjamin came here to meet Stella, the vice chairman of the Axel Group", Linda added.
She then turned to Benjamin smiling, "Benjamin's family, the white, has a lot deals with the Axel Group. In time to come, it's going to help not just the White family but also the Bromwicks", she explained.
Chris had no Idea that the white family was one of the Axel Group's business partner. Then again, he had just taken ownership of the Axel Group, he doesn't know much about it.
He tried not to make a facial expression that will disclose what he was thinking. He smiled casually, "Benjamin is must be very talented. This is truly extraordinary, you guys make a perfect couple!", He complimented.
Benjamin looked at Chris disdainfully, feeling irritated by him.
This disgrace was publicly humiliated and scolded at the party yersterday, how is he able to put up a smile like nothing happened.
Why would such a gorgeous woman like Nora, get married to this trash of a person?
If this loser were not with Nora, he would have gone after her. Who would want Linda when Nora is free. In all aspects, Linda is nothing compared Nora.
The thought of this made Benjamin upset, and his anger prompted a question, "Chris! why are you here?", He asked.
"I am here to apply for a job", Chris replied casually.
"Apply for a job?", Benjamin sneered. "You of all people, wants a job in the Axel Group! You have got to be kidding me!", Benjamin added.
Chris's facial expression changed, "What's your business with my job search?", He asked frowning.
Linda's intention of calling Chris was to embarrass him. On seeing Benjamin fulfil her heart desires, she had room to interpose, "Why? What's wrong with what Benjamin said?", She asked.
"Academically, do you even have a diploma? As for skills, what can you even do apart from embarrassing yourself?", She further asked.
"Even if you have come to apply for as a security guard, I doubt they would even look at you. It's better you go out in the street, picking up garbage! You can at least earn 2 to 3 thousand a month", she further mocked.
After mocking, she threw the empty bottle in her hand on the floor before him, "here! Pick it up and go sell it, it will fetch you money, don't say I didn't try to help you!", she added.
Benjamin chuckled ominously,"I know you are useless, and have no skills but we are still relatives, and as such, should have each others backs. I happen to know the vice-chairman of the Axel Group! I'll help you talk to her, maybe there might be a vacancy in the cleaners department. I bet you can handle cleaning the toilets, or can't you?", Benjamin asked.
Chris gave a cold smile, "What I am here for is none of your business, and I wouldn't worry about myself if I were you! The Axel Group will not want to collaborate with trash of such low quality like yourself", Chris added.
Benjamin's facial expressions changed immediately, "who are you are calling trash?", He asked angered, "You of course, you are trash!", Chris replied disdainfully.
After speaking, Chris turned to the building, walking towards it and ignoring Benjamin yelling behind him.
"D_mn you! Stop right there! I said stop right there!", Benjamin continued yelling. He quickly ran after Chris and caught up with him at the elevator's entrance.
Benjamin wanted to teach Chris a lesson, to give him a minimum of two slaps so he knows the consequence of disrespecting him, but they were in the Axel building already. Benjamin feared that doing that would not speak well of him before his partners, so he had to put a pause to his plans.
He gnashed his teeth in anger, "today you are lucky, but I doubt your luck will save you the next time!", He said.
Chris coldly snorted and stepped into the elevator, "Benjamin! Do you think you are powerful? Mark my words, you will pay for being arrogant!", Chris said to him.
"You....", Benjamin said now angered as he rushed towards the elevator, "Benjamin!", Linda called as she pulled him by his arm, "Let's not go on the same elevator as this garbage, we don't want to get choked up by his awful smell", Linda adviced.
Benjamin nodded, knowing fully well that, it wouldn't be a wise decision to lay a hand on Chris, "had it not been for Linda and your awful stench, I would have thought you a lesson! But there would be a next time", Benjamin added.
Using the elevator, Chris went straight to the top floor, where the chairman was.
Griffin, the old man from before, had already made all the necessary arrangements awaiting Chris. The person in charge of his arrival was a young woman known as Stella yong.
Stella yong, a well-known person in Hillsprings, she had earned the reputation as a career oriented businesswoman in the Hillsprings. She is not only beautiful, but also capable of her work. At a young age, she was promoted to vice chairman of the Axel Group. She is one of the backbones behind the Axels Group's success today.
Since Axel Group has changed ownership, now acquired by the Arthurs, the former chairman left, but Stella remained to assist the new chairman.
On seeing Chris, Stella was shocked, for he was far beyond her expectation. She wasn't expecting to see such a charming young man. She quickly composed herself, "Welcome Mr. Arthur. Please come with me to my office", she said respectfully.
