When I opened my eyes, I was in a dark room.
There I heard different voices.
A light shone bright and I turned to it's direction.
"Katie!", I heard Kareen's voice scream.
"Kareen!", I screamed and ran in the direction of the light.
Suddenly, I bumped into a thick wall and fell back to my butt.
"Kareen!", I called as I stood up.
This time walked slower until I came in contact with this transparent wall.
Behind it was the light from whence I heard Kareen's voice.
"What is this?", I asked as I continued feeling the wall with my hand.
Suddenly, some lights came on; so I bright I had to squint to see. It gradually went dim.
At this point, I could see some persons walk closer to the glass box I was kept in.
Some men in lab coats walked closer to me.
"What is this?!", I asked looking around.
"Patient seems to be aware of her state", one of the men in a lab coats said jotting something down.
"What the f_ck?!", I said looking around.
"How many fingers am I holding up?", He added putting two fingers up in the air.
"Two!", I said irritated.
"Interesting…", he said and jotted.
"What's your name?!", he asked.
"I ain't mad!", I added.
"That's not a name…", he said and hit a red button on the pen he was holding.
Pow! Pow! Pow!
A loud and annoying sound rang out.
I held my head, knelt down and began to scream: "stop! Please stop!"
It soon came to an abrupt stop.
"What's your name?!", He asked again.
"Katie! Katie Monroe!", I yelled.
"Valid!", He said and jotted.
"Please let me out!", I cried.
"Test 6 complete!", He said ignoring my cry.
"Progress, substantial…", he added with his hand on the earphone in his ear.
"Alright!", He said and walk towards a door.
"Please!", I screamed hitting the glass as I watched him walking away.
He hit the switch and in a pattern, the lights went off.
I knelt down and began to cry.
"I want out!", I cried out again hitting the glass
"Do you really want out?", A familiar voice spoke from inside the glass box where I was.
In shock I turned around, the place was dark so doing that was just out of reflex.
"Denzel!", I called as my heart tensed up in fear.
"Please stay away!", I said pushing my body against the glass box in a reflex action to get away from him.
"Is that really what you want? Don't you want out?", Denzel asked.
"I don't need your help!", I yelled crying.
"Katie, why do this to yourself!", He asked as he came closer. The place was dark so the only way I could tell the distance between us was his voice.
"I can help you!", He said aloud and the lights came on.
As always his hands were stained with blood, a grin and his devilish eyes stood out.
A cute little boy, what must have led to this?
"Or I can leave you!", He said and the lights went off.
I let out a loud screech in fear.
"Denzel please!", I began to beg.
"Please what?!", He asked.
"You want out?!", He added.
"Yes!! Yes!!", I cried further.
"I thought you would never ask!", He said and the next second, I heard a loud bang.
The sound of shattering glass, and the alarm was raised.
The red lights coming on and off, as well as the loud annoying and repeated sirens of before.
I put both hands on my ear as the sound went on.
Suddenly the alarm stopped and the white lights came on and I noticed that the glass walls had fallen and was broken to pieces.
"Shut down all exit! A prisoner has escaped. I repeat, shut down all exit! A prisoner has escaped!", The intercom echoed loudly.
"Now watch me work magic!", Denzel said with a smile.
"Go!", He said.
I stood there amazed and scared to take a step.
"Katie go!", He added.
With that, I walked carefully trying to avoid the broken pieces of glass.
"There she is!" some men yelled as they came out of the door I was about to go through.
Seeing them charging towards me with electric tasers I ran back.
"Why fear with Denzel?!", Denzel said.
As soon as his voice fell the men behind me began to scream in pain.
I turned around and found all of them on the floor with their taser sticking out their head as their lifeless bodies twitched on the floor.
"Mademoiselle, you may go out…", he said as he gestured with his hand like a gentleman for me to go out.
I stood there motionless for a moment, then finally walked into the bright light at the other side of the door.
As soon as I stepped in the light, I put a hand in front of my face with my eyes closed.
When I opened it, I was on a hospital bed.
I looked around and found out that there was no one in the room with me.
Suddenly a nurse walked in.
As soon as she saw me, she said in a shock: "patient's awake!"
Patient?!
