As soon as Kelvin finished talking, one of Overl Hong's guard marched foward from behind him, grabbed Kelvin by his hair, and began to slap him mercilessly.
"You idiot! How dare you talk to Overl Hong in such manner, who do you think you are?", The guard said as he slapped on.
When he was done with Kelvin, he turned to Sarah, pulled her and also gave a thunderous slap, "You disgusting woman, what gave you the right to speak to Overl Hong in such manner? Doubt or not, I'll break open your mouth!", He added.
All who watched were stunned.
As soon as Kelvin and Sarah heard the remarks of guard and felt the fury of his slap, they were shocked as though struck by lightning.
Is this true? Is the man before them really the famous Overl Hong of the Hillsprings?
And they were ignorantly mocking him! The mere thought of this made blood dissapear from their faces as they became pale, they shivered as they feared for their lives.
Kelvin reacted immediately, he jumped on the floor, down on his knees and began kissing Overl Hong's feet, begging, and crying, "5th Lord, I have faulted. Please show mercy! My eyes were as shut as a blind man, I did not recognize you. I dared to open my useless mouth and insult you! I have nothing to do with these elders, please spare me!", He begged on as he wept some more.
When he was done speaking, he began to slap himself as he continued crying.
He had no idea, and never would have thought that the support of the scam company was Overl Hong himself. Even if he had the entire white family as his support, he dared not offend Overl Hong.
He regrets digging up his own grave. All he wanted was a chance to prove himself to Nora's mom, Sarah, so he can be fully approved and backed up by her as he sort after Nora. But in the process of proving himself, he was faced with a great surprise.
He ignorantly offended Overl Hong. If his father heard about this, he certainly would be a dead man.
On seeing this, the elders were shocked to their feets.
They expected Kelvin White to be of help to them, help bring back their money, but who would have imagined that he would end up in his knees, crying and begging the man on the White suit. After bragging and giving them hope, look at what has befalled him.
And the proud and pompous Sarah, slapped like a bad dog, and now quietly sobbing in shame.
Overl Hong looked at Kelvin and snorted coldly, "for the fact this guy bears a cheap mouth, he would be given 10 thousand slaps", Overl Hong commanded.
On hearing Overl Hong's sentence, Kelvin was scared to his feets. Although 10 thousand slaps would be better than his original thoughts. He actually thought he was going to be beaten to death.
Now, Overl Hong's bodyguard turned to Sarah who had been slapped severally already, and pointed a finger at her, "5th Lord, what about her?", He asked.
Overl Hong turned to her and looked at her in irritation, "10 thousand slaps as well!", Overl Hong said.
Sarah fell to the ground as well, kneeling in fear, and trembling vigorously. She saw death before her and was seriously afraid. She offended Overl Hong, how would her life be spared?
Immediately, Overl Hong's body guard began to carry out his order, some went ahead to grab Kelvin, while others went for Sarah, as flexed their muscles ready to start the action Overl Hong had commanded.
Chris had been coldly watching everything from amongst the elders in the crowd.
When he saw Sarah, his mother-in-law being slapped, he said nothing because his mother-in-law had faulted greatly, she deserved it.
But if Overl Hong's men actually slaps her the 10 thousand slaps he had commanded them to, it is going to get her seriously wounded if not kill her even. But what will he tell Nora?
How would she feel when she sees her mother's face disfigured to that extent. But he still had no choice but to stay quiet.
Just as he kept on watching, a very strong looking man raised hand about to slap Sarah, it was obvious that just one slap from this guy was enough to maim her in an instant.
On seeing this, Chris quickly rushed forward, and held the man's hand.
