I shot his left elbow.
"Umph! Why?!", He cried as he inadvertently tried to touch his left arm with his right.
Pow!
I shot the right.
"Ahhhh!!!!!", He screamed in pain finding it difficult to express his pain.
"I thought we talked about this....", I added looking at the gun in my hand.
"I.... ", He spoke and exhaled heavily with tears in his eyes.
Pow!
Abruptly, I fired once again. A point close to, but below his right knee.
"Kaa!!!!", He cried as he landed on the floor with his face; unable to control himself.
He kicked the left on the ground repeatedly trying to express his pain.
"The concept of drowning all boils down to suffocation; lack of air and control. Same fate will I give you.", I said about to shoot his left kneecap when I realized that the gun was out of ammo.
Jude further wailed with his face still on the sand.
"I still have another in my bag", I said as I quickly brought the second one from my bag.
Pow!
"Ehmmmmmm!", He whimpered.
"You should be glad you can still express your pain with your mouth.", I said as I began to dig up a hole.
At this time, I could hear the cops closer than ever.
The light from the helicopter could be seen at this point.
"Hope and pray that these guys don't see you before you die, else you are going to spend the rest of your life locked up like this.", I said as I pulled his face into the hole.
At this point he could no longer cry.
"Ple…ase…", he begged as silava came out of his mouth uncontrollably seemingly now understanding what I wanted to do.
"Didn't my mom or sister beg you?", I asked and he kept quiet.
"So please shut up!", I said to him as I pushed his head against the sand.
"Just the way they were saved by the cops, so might you. And just like them, it is strongly dependent on how long you can hold your breath.", I said as I covered his head up with sand.
Pow!
I shot a side of his shoulder reducing the chances of him getting out of that position.
I looked at his semi lifeless body close to the fire and still felt like giving him one last sort of torture while he waited for the cops; putting his leg on top or near the fire.
I looked back and saw the cops coming with their dogs and others and then at the him already suffering well enough. And besides Merylin and her mom didn't die.
So I turned and ran away.
I ran for awhile till I got I to the tiled road knowing fully well that they were eventually going to look around for me, but not as soon as I left.

After discovering what the box could do, I had decided to leave the town and start a new life somewhere else. Somewhere no one knew me.
All I had now was about a hundred bucks from the 2 wallets I had snatched as well as their cards and IDs.
But before leaving, I decided to pay a visit to the Vixus's; just to see how they are doing?
I began to walk down the dark and lonely road.
After walking a while, I decided to bring the box out and open it once again. This time, I took out the item in it.
A necklace whose pendant was a heart.
Right from the moment I opened the box, I had become like a normal human. My skin not pale, my hearing, seeing and smelling were all normal.
From the first moment I opened the box and now, this feeling of being a human has always been overwhelming for me.
It's so peaceful. Humans don't even know how awesome they are. They don't have to hear the birds, or bees cutting through the air; they don't have to smell any stink that passes; or worse, see the particles of dirt in their food.
Trust me, being a human is fun.
"Watch out!", I heard someone scream.
As soon as I turned around, I saw a car directly in front of me.
Boom.
I felt the force of the car against my body and like a flash I saw myself on the floor.
"It's a boy!", I heard a female voice say as I laid on the floor dizzy.
