"What's the mess?" Derila couldn't understand him, "You said who I am, I
understand because the king wouldn't believe me if I were a normal doctor. But why did
you talk about my relationship with Mr. Lierger?"
"I didn't mention it originally, but when His Majesty learned that you're an excellent
Doctor, he made sure to see you to explain the poison test in person, and to have you
produce evidence to prove it, and at the same time to deploy the royal team from the
palace to verify your test. I remember that before you arrived, His Highness had
repeatedly instructed that no matter what happened, you must not be involved, and that
you did not like to socialize or show your face, let alone deal with the royal political
circles. In order to dissuade His Majesty from that idea, in a moment of haste, I revealed
your identity as Mr.Lierger's fiancée, thinking that in this way His Majesty would treat
you with courtesy, or at least not check you to make things difficult for you."
Having said all this in one breath, Clark was a little weak, adjusted her breathing and
continued —
"Sure enough, as soon as His Majesty heard that you were Mr.Lierger's fiancée, his
attitude was immediately different, and although he still said he wanted to see you. It
was really a hospitable meeting, not an interrogation or an examination. I always
thought I was doing the right thing at the time, but I never thought."
At this, Derila understood: "I didn't expect that today Daemon would announce his
engagement with Penny, so the king would think that you and William were lying to
deceive him, so he had that old man come to fetch me and William to the palace today."
"Yeah." Clark sighed deeply, "I didn't expect this to happen either, and now I'm afraid
that not only will His Majesty not investigate the poisoning thoroughly, but he will also
pursue Your Highness and I for our deception."
At this point, Clark asked cautiously, "Ms.Feroma, what is going on here? What happened
to you and Mr. Lierger?"
Without speaking, Derila directly put down the medical box and turned to chase
after them.
"Ms.Feroma, Ms.Feroma!" Clark shouted a few times and failed to call out to her, looking at
Derila's hurriedly running out, his eyes quickly changed.
He knew that although the situation was bad now, as long as Derila was willing to
stand on their side, everything was still salvageable.
Derila rushed after the car before it started and offered to go to the palace with
William.
William was stunned, and the party immediately asked her to get into the car.
On the way, William was still persuading Derila: "Derila, what's wrong with
you? Didn't we agree that I would settle this myself? Why are you following me up
again?"
"I can't leave you to face it alone." Derila was firm, "I tested out the poison, so if the
old king wants to see me, let's do so, it's good to explain the situation face to face, to
save his old man from always wanting to see me."
"Cough cough…" the Silas coughed in anxiety, "Ms.Feroma, when you arrive at the
palace, you cannot talk to His Majesty the King like this."
"Then how should I speak?" Derila asked rhetorically, "I am not a prisoner, do I
have to beg him in a low voice?"
"Alright, alright." William hastened to round up the situation, "Lord Silas, Derila has
always been used to being spontaneous, but she is a polite and educated person, she
has respect for the elderly, not to mention that His Majesty is my grandfather, she has a
sense of propriety in her heart."
Hearing William say this, the Silas said nothing more.
William's words were clever, i.e. he defended Derila and rounded up the situation
at the same time.
Derila also did not say anything more, she looked out of the window, thinking of
Daemon, her heart was blocked, she just wanted to settle this side of the matter as
soon as possible, fly to Xendale to find him and ask him a clear question face to face.
