When Chris got out, he realized that his wife, Nora had not gone far. She bent down in a corner beside the hotel, crying in grief.
He walked towards her slowly, took his coat off and placed it on Nora, "My darling wife, please stop crying, the Bromwick family's directorship position is not a treasure. Nervertheless, what they did to you was wrong", he said.
"You don't get it Chris, if I become the director, my parents will no longer be ashamed in the Bromwick family, they would be proud of me, how could grandma do such a thing?",Nora added sobbing.
"I am sure they'll come to beg you to be the director. If you cry now, you would ruin your face before going up in stage", he continued persuading.
Nora shook her head in disbelief, "how Chris? How can they take back what they've said? Grandma already made the announcement, please just leave me alone", she cried some more.
Just then, the old Mrs. and Aaron ran out of the hotel as well.
Mrs. Bromwick was too old for such tedious activity, she went short of breath as she ran. So many people ran after her, all with the intent to see what was going to happen.
When Aaron got out, he saw Chris and Nora beside the hotel.
He quickly ran towards them, and looked at Nora, "Nora, please hurry, go after Miss Yong before she is too far to reach, so she doesn't terminate the contract!", He said with tearful eyes.
Nora turned to him confused, "Terminate the contract? Why?", She asked.
"Why pretend Nora, why act innocent? You told Stella Yong to disagrace me in public. If this matter is settled, I swear, I won't spare you!", He said. Out of no where, he received a slap.
"You fool, how dare you talk to your sister in that manner, don't you know that she's the director of the Axel Group?", Mrs. Bromwick said.
Aaron grew anxious, "Did you not chose me to be the director of the Bromwick Group?", Aaron asked.
"If you didn't decieve me, would I have changed my mind? If you want to keep up with your reluctancy, I want you out of the Bromwick family!", Mrs. Bromwick added.
After 2 scoldings by Mrs. Bromwick, Aaron grew really angry, but he dared not a say word, all he could do was temporarily keep it to himself.
Mrs. Bromwick turned to Nora and bent down in front of her, "Nora dear, grandma is sorry, you are now the director of the Bromwick family, please go after Miss Yong before she leaves, if you don't, our family will be ruined!", Mrs. Bromwick begged.
Nora turned to Chris, looking at him bewildered.
Chris smiled at her, "What did I tell you, they will come beg you to be the director, you doubted my words, see how mess up your face is now", Chris added.
On hearing this, Nora's face went red as she blushed, "I'll try talk to Miss Yong!", She added and brought out her phone, and dialed Miss Yong.
All there just stared at her.
After waiting a while, Miss Yong finally picked up.
"Miss Yong? My grandma, Mrs. Bromwick asked me to explain to you that I will be promoted to the director of the Bromwick family, and will be in charge of the project in collaboration with the Axel Group, can you please give us another chance?", Nora explained.
On hearing this, Stella chucked, "if you are made director and would be in charge of the project then the collaboration may continue, but if not so, everything stays same, the contract remains invalid", Stella explained.
"Thanks alot Miss Yong!", Nora expressed her gratitude.
Nora remained bewildered, it seemed a little strange, the Axel Group had been way to generous to her, almost like they just wanted to help her, and it wasn't appearing ordinary.
"It's okay, this is what the chairman wants, if there be a chance in the future, he would explain it to you himself", she added.
On hearing this, Nora grew more puzzled, who could the chairman be? Why is he helping her?
"In that case, would you be kind enough to come back?", Nora pleaded.
Miss Yong must have left in anger, annoyed by how the Bromwick family behaved. And asking her to come back seemed quite difficult.
But to her surprise, Stella agreed to come back to the banquet.
And in a short while, Stella's car appeared in front of the hotel.
On seeing they all looked at Nora in bewilderment, how?
