The rest of the day went well, but Derila was a little distracted, always worried that
something had happened to the orphanage. So she would quietly go to the orphanage
every morning to make her rounds, and only when she saw that everything was going
well did she go home and sleep.
So, she didn't sleep well every night and was a little drained when she went to William's
place.
William was worried about Derila and asked her what had happened and if she
needed any help, but she just said she had been a bit busy lately and said nothing else.
That evening, Derila was about to take a bath and rest, but somehow she suddenly
felt a bit uneasy.
She was about to call and ask about the orphanage when a call came in first: "Hi, long
time no see!"
"Chrono?" Derila's heart trembled, Chrono was actually not dead.
"Surprised, aren't you?" Chrono laughed eerily, "You thought I was dead, didn't you?
Sorry to disappoint you."
"What do you want?" Derila questioned coldly.
"You have so many people protecting you, what can I do?" Chrono sneered mockingly,
"I'll just have to ask you to listen to the sound of the explosion."
As he said that, a loud "bang" came from the other end of the phone.
Derila was shaken and hurriedly went to the window to check. Sure enough, a haze
of light appeared in the distant sky and the sky was ablaze with fire.
Something had happened to the orphanage!
"Well? Does that sound good?" Chrono asked with a sneer on the other end of the
phone, "Do you still want to hear it?"
"You crazy, crazy person!" Derila roared in agitation, "Come at me if you can, don't
hurt the children!"
"I wanted to come at you, but you have too many people protecting you, and there's
nothing I can do about it." Chrono laughed sardonically, "By the way, are the other two
orphanages far from you? Can you hear the explosions over there from home?"
"Don't you mess around."
"Tsk, you're panicking." Chrono laughed, "If you don't want to hear it, bring your
passport and meet me at the airport."
"I'll be right there, and don't lay a hand on the orphanage again." Derila was very
agitated, "Those children are as innocent."
Chrono interrupted her, "Half an hour, if I don't see you, then I'll just have to let those
little kids go to heaven."
"You…" Derila was about to speak when Chrono hung up the phone.
Derila couldn't care less. She casually put on some clothes, stuffed her passport
and wallet into her bag, grabbed her car keys and rushed downstairs.
As she passed the lab, she suddenly remembered Layla's words and rushed in to get
some homemade drugs and concealed weapons and stuffed them into her bag, then
hurriedly drove away.
At that moment, Anthony, wearing a pair of flowered shorts, rushed out in a frenzy,
"Derila, something happened at the orphanage?"
"Go to the orphanage right away, go quickly."
Derila urged Anthony eagerly, while starting the car.
"Where are you going?" Before Anthony could finish his words, Derila sped away in
his car.
Anthony quickly went back to his room to change his clothes, then rushed to the
orphanage with his bodyguards.
Before leaving, he took the mini pistol Layla gave him with him and stuffed it into his
pocket in a panic.
On the way, Anthony received a call from the orphanage. It turned out that the explosion
was in the car park next to the orphanage, and the children in the orphanage were in
shock and were now crying and in a mess.
They had already called the police.
Anthony asked if there were any casualties among the children, and the staff said that
no casualties had been found for the time being, as the car park was some distance
away from the orphanage, and although the aftermath of the explosion had affected it, it
would not hurt the children.
Anthony breathed a sigh of relief and told the staff to protect the children, saying that he
would be right there.
But Derila did not answer the phone, so Anthony had to send her a message, "The
explosion was in the car park next to the orphanage, the children are fine!"
