Mr. Lierger and his staff were trying to come up with a solution to the financial constraint when Ms. Lierger promptly announced that she had arrived with enough equity to tide the company over. Every eye was wide with shock when they saw the number. Even Mr. Lierger was taken aback. Having not expected Ms. Lierger to come prepared with that amount on hand, he pulled her aside to ask her where it came from. Ms. Lierger told him that it came from you and showed him the approval letter with your signature. Mr. Lierger appeared calm but he was visibly still reeling from the shock. All in all, Ms. Lierger established her position within the company by the end of that day. Nobody else dared question her again after that. Mr. Lierger had been attending to personal matters over the past two days and handed the company over to Ms. Lierger. She rose to the occasion admirably…
The rest were words of flattery that sounded just plausible enough.
Zayn smiled as his eyes twinkled with pride. What a capable wife I have!
All that was left to do was to have the wedding.
At that moment in Aymo City, Erihal, Carla was busy running a meeting.
As she was delegating some essential tasks to the executives, Freda rushed in to whisper out of Daemon's earshot. "Ms. Feroma escaped again!"
"What?" Carla frowned. "What happened?"
"I'm not sure, " Freda muttered worriedly, "but I heard this time she ran with the child. Mr. Lierger is livid. He has sent someone to go after her."
"I wonder when they will be able to put their differences aside and reconcile, " Carla sighed. "Forget it, it's out of our hands. Let's carry on with the meeting. This is Daemon's problem, we shouldn't get involved."
The meeting continued for several more minutes before a deafening screech and a momentary eclipse announced the arrival of an entire convocation of eagles.
The executives were visibly frightened. "It's her again! She's back!" they cried.
