"Don't worry. She'd come calling, eventually." Zayn was conversely stoic about the whole affair.
"That's good to know, " Naya breathed in relief.
"Go look into the company's surveillance system. See whether Daemon had come by, " Zayn instructed.
"Huh?" Naya was very surprised.
"Derila went after Boris when he fled. Logically speaking, with her skills, there was no way Boris could have eluded her. I suppose it must have been the appearance of Daemon that led her to take off…" Zayn analyzed.
"I see. I'd get right on it." Off went Naya to follow up.
At this moment, Brandy hurried over. "Everything has been settled, Mr. Giblo. We've already weeded out all those people that Newton had embedded inside the company. Now, the group is staffed only by our own people and all their posts have been reinstated."
"Good." Zayn nodded. "What about Randy?"
"I've gotten into contact with Harrison. He'd brought Randy over to Mr. Lierger's, and said that he'd liaise with Ms. Lierger before sending him back later, " Brandy said.
Hearing that put Zayn's brow in a taut furrow.
"Try to figure out where they're staying."
"Huh?" Brandy did not understand why that had to be done.
"By not sending Randy back directly, I suppose that Harrison means to try to trade Randy for Derilo.
"For him to make this trip to Aymo City during this critical period for the Lierger family shows how much he values Derilo. This time, he must surely be seeking to bring her back with him. He knew that Derilo must be in contact with Carla and me, and figured that it might, perhaps, be easier for us
to reach her. That's why he had kept Randy by his side. He has to be waiting for us to send him Derilo in exchange…"
