"I suggest you let us handle this matter, " Benard advised. "Please be assured. Based on my understanding of Mr. Giblo's character, he won't harm Sir Lucas. Especially…"
He felt slightly awkward to speak of it. "Especially if he knows there's nothing between you and Sir Lucas. He will be even lenient with him."
"Mm." Carla nodded. "I agree with the arrangement. Anything else you want to add?"

"Stop acting." She intended to sound him out. "Hapilia told me about it. I knew all of you had warned her and Sam not to tell me the truth. But think about it. Is Hapilia closer to you guys or me?"
Benard lowered his head, concealing the solemn expression on his face. Her words make sense. After all, Hapilia is quite naïve and doesn't have any idea about power or status. She only knows that Ms. Lierger is the closest person to her. Therefore, the warning and reminder from the Giblo family might be ineffective toward her. She might really have told Ms. Lierger everything with a bit of coaxing.
"Lucas' men shadowed me when I got off the plane. Hapilia coincidentally called me to ask if I had arrived. And when she heard the gunshots at my side, she was terrified. I seized that opportunity to interrogate her about Zayn's condition. Finally, she told me the truth after I put the wind up her."
