Jane was surprised to see the extravagant show, as she wondered if these people were here for the seemingly wretched deadbeat.
She immediately dropped the thought! That's impossible! This wretched deadbeat can't know anyone this powerful.
And suddenly! Griffin stepped out from the 3rd car and walked into the Emerald court. Jane quickly rushed to meet and greet him, but he completely ignored her and walked straight to Chris.
"Young master, I am here with the money you requested for", he added.
With a hand gesture, Griffin signalled the bodyguards on black suits, and they walked into the store, placed the suitcase on the floor, and opened them.
On opening it, was every gaped in surprise to see the briefcase full of cash.
Sh_t! What the deadbeat said was actually true! Who is he?
Some people brought their phones out taking pictures and shooting videos, not wanting to miss such an event.
The bodyguards immediately pushed them out the store. And the best they could get was Chris's head from the back.
Chris pointed a finger at the opened briefcase.
"You earlier mentioned that you haven't seen so much money in cash, didn't you? Well there it is!", he said to Jane.
Jane was shocked to her toes, "Yeah, I see, I see it now..", she mumbled nodding vigorously.
Chris turned to Griffin, "I want to see the manager of this store", he said.
Griffin replied with a nod, and brought out his phone and went through his contact list, and made the call.
On answering the call, "B_stard!", Griffin yelled over the phone, "It's Griffin Thomas! I am at the Emerald court now. You have a minute to get here, else, I'll have my men burn down the place as well as break your legs!", he commanded yelling.
On seeing this, Jane became overwhelmed with fear. Blood drained from her face as she gazed at Griffin.
Who is this guy? How so powerful?
She knew how big, well known, and connected to powerful people her boss was in the Hillsprings. EVeryone in the Hillsprings respected and honoured him! She never thought people who dared talk to him like that existed!
In less than a minute when an obese man in his middle-age ran from office behind the store. As soon as he got out and saw Griffin, he ran to him, "Mr. Thomas, what an honour to have you in my shop. Why didn't you tell me earlier, I would have come to greet you!", the man said.
Griffin threw his hand at the man's face. On slapping the man, he growled furiously, "You're really cocky, aren't you? Your staff had the guts to disrespect our young master like this. Seems you're getting tired of breathing?", he added.
Griffin knew what the young master had been through for the past years without his family, and so was really irritated to see a common staff treat him poorly.
The obsessed man was quite grieved, on recieving the slap on his face, but as sson as he heard Griffin's words, in shock, he recoiled.
The young master of Griffin Thomas? Oh my, if Griffin's appearance alone was like a dragon in the mortal world, then his young master must be a god from the sky then!
The obessed man went down on his knees and crawled to the man, "Youn...Young master, I sincerely apologize, please forgive me.
He then turned to his employees, looking at them furiously, "Which of you ignorant bafoons offend the young master? Present yourself this instant!", he commanded.
And all of them turned to Jane,
On noticing this, Jane walked back slowly, but before could move, the chubby man had grabbedher by the collar and began to slap her, "You unlearned b_tch, how dare you offend the young master! You're stupid and blind!", he cursed.
After being slapped, Jane went on the floor, "I am sorry sir. Yes, yes, I am stupid and blind, please show mercy! Please forgive me", she wailed.
"Show you mercy?", the chubby man said and grabbed her by hair, and pulled her face up, and threw his huge fist at her face.
After two punches, her face was covered blood.
"D_mn you b_tch! You want to bring me down to hell! Don't you? I'll kill you before you kill me!", she said.
At this time, Jane had lost several of her teeth, and the nose bridge she spent so much money on plastic surgery had broken, and her face now fully covered with blood.
She struggled and was luckily able to break free from her boss, she quickly crawled to where Chris was and began to beg, "Young master please forgive me, I am really sorry. I will never do it again, I will never judge people as I have you ever again. Please sir, I beg for your forgiveness", she pleaded in tears.
Chris coldly glared at her, "you deserved it!", he uttered.
On seeing her grab Chris's feet, the chubby man gaped in shock. He quickly ran to where she was and stomped her on the head, shouting, "I'll kill you! How dare you touch the legs of the young master!", He yelled.
On stomping, Jane immediately fainted and was unconscious.
The chubby man immediately called for the guards at the door, "take this b_tch and throw her in the garbage dump at the back alley!", He said.
The guards quickly obeyed, taking Jane who was messed up with blood away.
Chris turned to the chubby, blankly staring at him, "my wife likes the Jade necklace", he said pointing at it, "Wrap it up!", he added.
On hearing this, the chubby man immediately nodded vigorously, "Okay sir, I'll do that right now!", He said.
Chris brought out his premium card, "here! Swipe this card", he said and turned to Griffin. "You can take the cash back now!", He said.
The chubby man interupted immediately, "Young Master, I see you like the Jade necklace, please have it, it's on the house!", He said.
"I don't want it for free!", Chris muttered.
"Young Master, as a token of gratitude from me, please accept it!", The chubby man added timidly.
"Young master, it seems he sees this gift as means to repent for his mistake, please accept it. He might not be able to sleep well tonight if you don't", Griffin said.
After a moment of hesitation, Chris gently nodded, "Alright, thanks for the generous gift", he said.
On hearing this, the chubby man exhaled in relief. If Chris had not, he feared that Griffin wouldn't let him off the hook. Griffin's influence and power, could make him dissapear off the map, with a snap of his finger.
Griffin immediately turned to Chris, "Sir do you need a lift?", He asked.
"Thank you, but no", Chris shook his hand and turned to the chubby man, "Where is the back door? I'll go myself", He added.
The spectators felt like people in a new world!
Series of Rolls-Royces drove down to deliver 13 million dollars in cash, just for a jade necklace.
And it ended up being given to him for free by the owner of the Emerald court.
Who was this ordinary and remarkable man? Where did he come from?
So many people who got the incident on video, posted it on the net, and in no time, it became the hottest topic.
Bloggers titled the mysterious man as 'the extremely rich man', 'the froward boss', 'the mystery elite', and so many other titles. Due to it, there came an activity, 'find the mysterious rich man', and some many people were seriously participating in it.
But fortunately for Chris, those filming were pushed away by the bodyguards, and so all images of Chris they got was quite blurry, not clear enough to be used as a reference for the search.
